After a twenty-year span of racing, Richard Hamann established Hamann Motorsports, a company that continues to design, construct, and sell premium aftermarket components for luxury and sports vehicles. The company is well-known by both automakers and consumers but has recently lost one of its greatest entities- Mr. Hamann himself, who passed recently after a battle with lung cancer. In honor of the beloved founder and BMW enthusiast, Hamann Motorsports' employees are dedicated to carrying on the business as he would've wanted.

One recent by-product of this goal is the first tuning package for the BMW 6-Series Convertible. The new package made its debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show as a tribute to Hamann's profound passion for the BMW brand. With exterior and interior modifications as well as a substantial engine update, the Hamann-tuned Convertible is quite an impressive tribute.

Hamann's new 6-Series exterior features sporty front and rear spoilers, LED daytime running lights, fresh side skirts, and a pair of special EDITION RACE ANODIZED and ANNIVERSARY EVO wheels which come in a variety of sizes and designs. The interior of the BMW received a makeover as well, boasting the finest black anodize aluminum and personalized foot mats.

As far as performance goes, the Hamann-tuned BMW 6-Series Convertible is pumped up with an additional sport exhaust system including four stainless steel tail pipes and an ECU upgrade which increases total output to 510 HP. To top of all the tuning talent, Hamann Motorsports added a unique suspension that drops the cabriolet's center of gravity by up to 30 mm.
